The DLC-8S is the Pro Custom 11 Cup food processor from Cuisinart. The Pro Custom 11 Cup has a classic design that is paired with an industrial strength motor making this unit a powerhouse built for dependability and convenience.
Cuisinart has a unique chopping and kneading cover especially for this 11 cup unit which makes the unit more compact when performing those functions. The industrial strength motor is designed to handle the tough job of kneading dough.
The standard feed tube for the Pro Custom 11 is extra wide fitting most fruits and vegetables whole. The other 11 cup Cuisinart food processor (model DLC-2011) only comes with 1 slicing and 1 shredding disc.
This 11 cup processor comes with both of those plus an additional thin slicing disc (2mm thickness) for added versatility out of the box. If you need additional discs Cuisinart has many different models available for purchase, from french fry blades to grating blades for hard cheeses.
