The Hamilton Beach Company had its start when two U.S. Standard Electrical Works employees, L.H. Hamilton and Chester Beach, decided to become business partners.
In 1940, Beach was able to perfect a universal motor that runs at a high speed and is very versatile. After six years, he, along with Hamilton and a man named Frederick Osius, left their jobs at the U.S. Standard Electrical Works to form The Hamilton Beach Company. The three of them were partners. However, Osius’ last name was not included in the company name because he was not very fond of it.
By 1911, the company was able to market its very first electric appliance – a drink mixer.
From then on, The Hamilton Beach Company continues to make improvements and breakthroughs to ensure that their products are of maximum quality and effectiveness. In 1934, the company patented the manual juice extractor. This is also the year when they created Model C, a stand mixer. In 1978, they introduced a blender that functions using microprocessor controls. This is the first of its kind and truly an innovation.
The latest blender idea came in 2008, when they came up with the Hamilton Beach Dual Wave Blender. It can be used to make one drink, a couple of drinks, or enough or an entire crowd.
Now, the Hamilton Beach Company uses the tagline “Good thinking.” It is the concept of finding solutions to age-old problems through experience, research, and testing.
