Baby Food Blender

A baby food blender is an appliance used for preparing food for babies. Much like the standard kitchen blender in that it can mix and puree food, the baby food variant is noticeably different in its size. As baby food is prepared in small quantities, the baby food blender has a significantly smaller food basket and is not designed to handle hard ingredients such as ice. The small food basket ensures that food prepared for babies are just the right amount, so that babies food are always made fresh.

Another alternative is the baby food mill. Unlike the baby food blender, the food mill does not require electricity to operate and is good for traveling parents. It is operated via a rotary lever on the top of the unit. The baby mill purees and strains food, usually automatically separating the seeds of fruits. In addition, an advantage of using the mill versus a handheld stick blender is that the food mill can handle meat.
